December Potluck Meeting
Don't miss our monthly meeting and potluck on Mon, Dec 11 at 6:30 pm at the Lussier Family Heritage Center, 3101 Lake Farm Park, Madison.
Come out and discuss your plans for the winter with other cross country skiing enthusiasts over a great meal. Beer provided by One Barrel Brewing Co will be available along with other refreshments.

Ski Lessons
Starting on January 9, free ski lessons will be offered at Elver Park on Tuesday nights from 5:45-6:45 pm. Registration is open now for Madnorski members and later next week will open for non-members. Non-members are limited to 2 lessons per season. Instructors needed: If you are an experienced skier consider volunteering to help teach. Spend an hour teaching lessons and have fun seeing the results happen in real time. You can sign up to help online.

Madnorski Race Series
Racing kicks off at Elver Park on Tues, Jan 9 and continues through Tues, Feb 13. Sign up at the Madnorski meeting or at the races. Thanks to the Bicycle Doctor in Dousman and One Barrel Brewing Co for their support! More info online.

Snowmaking
With recent cold weather snowmaking is underway at Elver Park. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers not only is snow being made but there is a new trail configuration for the snowmaking loop that should be more interesting and have less conflicts with the sledding hill. Hopefully lots of natural snow falls this season but with the snowmaking it is easier to keep skiing happening during warm periods. If you would like to support this effort and the club’s grooming efforts please consider making a tax deductible donation.

Remembering Paul Matteoni
As many of you know Paul Matteoni, an active Madnorski member and our former Madnorski Trip Chair, passed away on November 26 from injuries sustained due to a bike crash earlier in the month. Our condolences go out to his family and Paul will be greatly missed both on the ski trails and on bike rides.
His family and friends have asked us to share with you that a celebration of Paul’s life will be held Sat, Dec 16 from noon - 3pm at Rocky Rococo’s Pizzeria, 1753 Thieree Rd, Madison. Please RSVP to Karen Matteoni.
