Dear <<First Name>>,

As an old friend of PH International's, I’d like to take a moment to challenge what you may know about the work that PH is up to these days as I also ask you to consider a donation to our annual fundraising campaign. Please picture this:
  • PH staff traveling in armored cars to towns at the border of the war in Eastern Ukraine to monitor the progress of young people who are learning how to be entrepreneurs in hopes of building a better life for themselves as their country struggles with ongoing conflict.
  • Teaching teams of police officers and teachers working with 8th grade students to become active, knowledgeable citizens in a community that, 20 plus years on from the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is still sharply divided by its ethnic and religious differences.
  •  Post-war Georgian, Abkhaz (citizens of a separatist state with no diplomatic relations with Georgia) and Armenian teachers of English language doing the impossible: learning and building positive relationships as they spend intensive time together in professional development retreats.
  • A police officer working with youth for the first time ever in a remote Muslim school in the Pankisi Gorge of Georgia to reduce the risks that endanger the young from foreign, radicalizing  propaganda.
As you can see, after more than 30 years, PH continues to push the envelope to meet the development challenges of a world in which communities are working hard to hold onto their culture and customs, are striving to keep their young people safe, and are learning how to build better futures for their families. PH remains at the forefront of innovation with a focus on improving economic, civic and professional opportunities for citizens of all ages and circumstance. Staying close to our roots and hometown values applied in an international arena has set us apart as a uniquely equipped player in the international field. The quality and integrity of that work has earned recognition and trust from remarkably diverse partners and governments, contributing to our sustained presence in very challenging locations and times. As an organization that embraces challenge and strives for innovation, we seek partners that are results based and who believe, as we do, that working from a place of integrity and optimism will open creative potential that could never be achieved alone.

We need your help in that effort. The support of donors like you makes taking on the risks of very challenging projects like those I’ve described here possible. Please go to the Donate page on our website at http://www.ph-int.org/donate to make a secure online gift to assist PH in continuing our important work. You can also send a check or make a gift of stock. Your contribution is very much appreciated and provides PH International the opportunity to continue to grow in new and exciting ways through our field offices in Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Russia and Ukraine.

With sincere thanks,

Ann Martin
Executive Director
