Auburn Campus Baptism!

Auburn University freshman Ethan Mobley was baptized Saturday, December 2.

Ethan is a biosystems engineering major from Red Bay, Alabama.  He is the first Auburn undergrad to get baptized this school year.  He was met this semester at Bible talk. He had been doing Bible studies with his friends on Tuesday nights and his influence caused many more to join the ATCC Tuesday night Bible study.

Ethan is a leader with his friends, and his influence extends to Christian fraternities and other groups on campus. He already desires to help many of his friends know Jesus, and will be used tremendously by God.

"I'm really excited to receive encouragement from my fellow disciples and begin this mission of growing and getting others to the point that I''m at right now," said Ethan.

Provide a gift for a needy child or woman
Help provide Christmas for a child who is staying at the Friendship Mission Women's Shelter.  Below is a list of children who are staying at the shelter, and gift suggestions.  (Highlighted names are taken.  They are not available.)  Please let Jessica or Kat know if you would like sign up to bring a gift for one of these children, and let them know which child you would like to sponsor.

We would also like to buy gifts for the women in the shelter. (They love leggings!)  And we will bem throwing a fun holiday party for the women and children.  If you would like to sign up to bring a gift for the women, or to help with the party, please let Jessica or Kat know.

The party at the shelter will be on Saturday, December 16.

Book Drive Blow Out!
One hundred and ninety three books were delivered to Carver Elementary School in Tuskegee as a result of a recent book drive, which was spearheaded by ATCC member Sydney Clayborn and the nonprofit she heads, Mission Empower.  Many ATCC members contributed to the effort, and some members helped distribute the books to 193 children at the school.

"We had so much fun interacting with the students and getting an opportunity to meet them," said Sydney.  "They were so excited to receive their books today! Thank you to everyone who helped out any way possible whether it was donating or coming to the school."

"Sydney did an excellent job.  The school was very excited," said Travis Hawkins, who works at the school.
