December 2017
This has been one of our greatest and most challenging semesters since we have been at YSU.  The greatest being that we have had a lot of quality students become part of our Chi Alpha family. We believe that they will grow into amazing leaders who will help us make disciples here on campus. It has been a joy to invest into their lives and get to know their stories.  We are also unbelievably thankful that our amazing current leadership continues to grow and relay the vision of YSU Chi Alpha to our newer students.

The greatest challenge of this semester has been our families commitment to support Angela as she has battled cancer.  We have been so blessed by God’s touch on her life and the care of her doctors.  Even though she is still dealing with pain and residual effects from her treatments, we constantly rejoice because she is CANCER FREE! Another challenge we have faced is Joe’s devotion to the idea of “people over paper.”  What this means is that he is taking more time to be with students and worrying less about getting “stuff” done. He wishes that he could have a few more projects completed, but he knows that the investment in the students is well worth it.

As our students are gearing up for finals we have ended our semester with a Christmas gathering.  This allows them to take a breath in the midst of their studying. Each year we have an ornament for our students to keep as a reminder of their time in Chi Alpha.

We want to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas! We are so thankful for your support through prayers and finances. We could not reach the campus without you!

Blessing and prayers to each and every one of you!

Love, Joe, Angela, Domenic, Maya & Anthony

During our last newsletter we mentioned that Angela was waiting for the call to start radiation.  Well the call came.  She had a few consultations with the doctor & the staff to set up her treatment plan.  Then it was several weeks of trips to the center until 30 were completed.  Then the day finally came, this past Wednesday, December 8th.  It was Angela's turn to ring the bell signaling that she is DONE!  We are so grateful for all those who have walked with us through this journey.  Please know that we love you all & we continue to pray that God will bless you.
