The University of Washington earned several sustainability honors in the 2017 Sustainable Campus Index, published by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). UW was the second-rated university in both transportation and food & dining, and the sixth-best doctoral institution overall.

The Washington & Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference (WOHESC) will be held at Portland State University on February 6-8, 2018.
