Here's a 2-3 minute practice which might bring you back into your body & offer a feeling of 'room to breathe'
It can be done almost anywhere, anytime, it's quick & powerful
Here's how...
Find a space where you can close your eyes for a few minutes.
Place the palm of your hand or two fingers, on the centre of your chest and take a deep breath in. This can send a signal to your body that lets it know you're safe.
As you allow your breathing to return to it's natural rhythm, bring to mind incidences that created feelings of gratitude, compassion and caring. The situations themselves are not important, it's about connecting to the feelings these thoughts invoke.
Immerse yourself in these feelings for 2-3 minutes (or longer!)
A short & sweet way to help switch & settle into the parasympathetic nervous system - sometimes known as the rest & digest system.
