Landing Lights the Night After a vigorous fundraising effort among Gibsons Landing business owners spearheaded by Joann Hetherington (Zocalo) and Peggy Koenig (Peggy Sue's), the new street decor was officially "switched on" by Deputy Mayor Stafford Lumley (Smitty's Oyster House). As Patricia Hetherington revealed to a packed house eagerly awaiting the event on Nov. 24, there were significant challenges presented by weather delays and scheduling by the professional decorators who arrived to install the display. It looks great! If you have not visited the Landing lately, cruise through after sunset. The lights will be an after-dark feature year-round thanks to the brilliant Landing merchants!
