mural painting
At the end of October my sketch for a mural was selected to be executed in the outdoor area of Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on a wall of 9 to 12 meter. The client demanded, however, that the mural had to be achieved in November and/or December 2017, with temperatures that are not really good for the paint and also not for me, working outside. But the client was not at all sensitive to these arguments and postponing was unmentionable.
I am very satisfied with the sketch and I expect that it will turn out very good as a mural. The unrealized mural needs a new wall, where it can be executed in the spring or summer.

publication
In 2008 I created and released a publication, this was because of a year traveling and working abroad. This publication with the title 'been everywhere, seen everything' contained a selection of works, which I made in artist residencies traveling from Netherlands to China and back. It is almost ten years later and time for a new publication. I am considering getting a designer and writer for this publication. In 2018 more about this plan.

id11 project space
Since 2008 I am involved in artists initiative id11. id11 realises from 2008-2016 artists-in-residence projects and presentation spaces on temporary locations in Delft, the Netherlands and from 2012 to 2016 id11 was part of the European network CreArt. In 2013 id11 starts a permanent artist-in-residence program at a farmhouse in the Noordoostpolder.
In 2018 id11 is going to use the former stable of the farmhouse as id11’s project space. From January to June id11 will invite every last week of the month one artist to use the project space to work on her or his project, with a presentation on the last Saturday and Sunday of the month. id11 offers the artist the opportunity to use the space for a week, to experiment and try things out. The former stable lends itself particularly well for installations and site-specific work. The artists among others are: Rosa Everts (February), Egied Simons (March), Lineke Hansma (April) and Marie Claire Krell (May).
