Newsletter - Issue 113
“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”
Ernest Hemingway
Comedy Crowders,

Today we are opening up the sitcom writersrooms for 2018! Plus we bring you some lovely comedy festival opportunities, the wisdom from a top YouTube channel, and ideas for how to invest in you. That's right, not investing in a scarf for your Aunt or chocolates for your Mum (although that is recommended), investing in you. This was a good newsletter to open.
Sitcom Writersrooms are open today
Want to be part of a sitcom writersroom? Now you can.
The Comedy Crowd Sitcom Writersrooms for Winter and Spring 2018 are open from today.

We can only take 6 people at a time, first come first serve. If you join this week you get a 10% discount too. Ding dong merrily on very high.
We are running 2 sitcom writersrooms:
1st Draft Sitcom Writersroom: For beginners to learn the art of sitcom writing and create your first script.
2nd Draft Sitcom Writersroom: Give your sitcom script the MVP treatment and enhance your comedy writing skills.

The feedback from our first sitcom writersroom was fantastic and it sold out in a few days, so we can't wait to get the next ones up and running.

P.S. we will soon be opening new sketch and beginner stand-up writersrooms too, so if those are more your thing drop us an email to theccteam@thecomedycrowd.com and we'll keep you updated.

In praise of silliness
Not everyone enjoys silliness in comedy, but there's definitely something to be said for having a silly mindset when sitting down to hammer out your funny masterpiece.

Today we finish with a piece by Tom Mitchell, who gives his thoughts on why more silliness is needed in this world of ours. Read it here
