We're reminded over and over again just how much kids need adults to help positively shape their future. Think about your own childhood:

• If you had many mentors growing up, you can likely see just how much of your health and ability was put in motion by their loving guidance.
• If you had to fend for yourself as a child, whatever strength you earned through difficulty is likely accompanied by the wish that more people had been kind enough to show you the way.

And that's what a lot of kids in Nicaragua need: to be lovingly shown the way to a fruitful life. For kids at One by One this year, you helped make that more than a wish—you helped make it happen.
