With your support this year, we extended the learning space at First Step Right School, and repaired damages to the main school building after a bad storm.

'Your work is saving lives ...' Words from a patient at Hillcrest AIDS Centre's Respite Unit. You helped us sponsor a bed in 2017, and your donations will enable us to continue to support them.

Sarah was joined by various volunteers on two trips to South Africa this year, including students from the School of Food Science and Nutrition at the University of Leeds. Click on the image (or here), to watch a video made by the students, showcasing their trip.

Because of you...

We've continued to support 1000 Hills Community Helpers and Hillcrest AIDS Centre, ensuring that those who need it most can access medical care and treatment in rural South Africa. We've continued to support First Step Right School with their running costs, ensuring over 150 children can go to school. We also fixed up some of their classrooms (and their roof!), with special thanks to the Harrod family as well as our fundraisers and crowd-funders for making these one-off projects at the school possible. We've supported children at KYGN School in Tanzania, grannies at the White House in South Africa, students attending university or further education.... the list goes on and it's all because of you <<First Name>>. Your support is so crucial in ensuring that so many individuals and organisations can be supported and we're looking forward to a fantastic 2018! With your help we'll continue supporting these projects. We're also excited to be involved with some new projects. We're really excited to see the progress with the LETCEE Friendship Bench project and the KYGN Fish Farming in Tanzania. You can find out more on our news page here, and we'll keep you updated throughout next year.

The Remembering Tree...

We just love this beautiful photo of the Woollen Winter Wonderland at Holy Trinity Church, an extension of our Remembering Tree and a celebration of all the colours of life. You will now find a board in front of the Remembering Tree with all celebrated names, as well as in this weeks Midweek edition of the Herald. You can also click here to see the names of those who have been remembered.
We hope the tree has brought you peace, joy and comfort this winter.
