Bishop Sutton, the Diocesan Staff, and Church of the Holy Communion Pro-Cathedral are once again excited to welcome everyone to the Dallas area for the 111th Synod of the Diocese of Mid-America. Highlights of this year's Synod will include the installation service of the Diocesan Bishop Ordinary, the Commencement service for Cranmer Theological House, a Women's Day program, and a presentation on the Veritas program.
In addition, we are also honored to have with us a special guest - The Rev. Canon Dan Alger. Canon Alger is the Canon for Church Planting for both the Anglican Diocese of the South and the Anglican Church in North America. He is instrumental in the leadership, development, and tools provided by Always Forward and he is the co-host of the Always Forward podcast. Canon Alger will be leading us in a special teaching time on Thursday afternoon and will be discussing approaches and issues that church plants and missions often face.
For those arriving early enough on Wednesday (February 21st), the parish invites you to join them for their Lenten observance of the Stations of the Cross at 5:30pm followed by a Soup Supper, and a Lenten Speaker (at 6:30pm) who will speak on "The Comfortable Words of the Gospel".
We endeavor to keep expenses as low as we can but do need to ensure that we meet all the costs that are incurred with hosting a Synod. To that end, the following will be the price structure for the 111th Synod.
