Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year
#BePartOfIt

Dear Friends,

2017 has been a year of change and growth. Change we believe will be collectively for the better in terms of the yard and team here, for owners and connections and for the business too.

We've embarked on an ambitious programme of yard improvements, some small, some major – and they are already making a huge difference. Our widened loop with a new carpet gallop surface has meant not a single day of training has been lost, even during the recent heavy snow. Our new lorry looks great on the road and has already attracted admiring looks and positive comments wherever we go.

We've been delighted with the new horses that have arrived and, in addition to the older horses we have some promising youngsters from whom we expect some great things in the future. We've expanded the Racing Club and now have more horses on the yard than ever before, whilst still maintaining our ethos of bespoke care and attention for each and every individual.

It's been a hectic twelve months with the inevitable peaks and troughs racing brings and as we reflect on these and plan for the future, we thought in this newsletter we'd revisit some of the highlights of the year.

We cannot stress enough how important our fabulous owners are to our success, and every day of every year we know how lucky we are to have them.

To them, and indeed everyone connected to the yard we say a massive Thank-you and Happy Christmas.  What a great team!

17th & 18th December - Two greys in two days:

Fairmount (right) takes the laurels in the Davies Chemists Novices' Hurdle at Ffos Las, again under Andrew Tinkler. He made all the running before being pressed from 2 out, going clear before the last and staying on extremely strongly to cruise home with a margin of 13 lengths. You can view the replay here
Three days, three wins and a lot of miles on the horse lorry!
19th December - Buckle Street makes it three winners in three days under Harry Stock in the Racing Uk Profits Returned To Racing Handicap Hurdle at Catterick. He stayed in touch with the leaders until four out where he moved up to second before taking the lead on the run in and staying on well to win by 1 3/4 lengths.

...and finally...

A new definition to riding bareback

We were delighted to sponsor the month of March in The Big Reveal Calendar. Some extremely brave lady point-to-point jockeys were willing to bare (nearly) all in the name of a great cause, namely
The Injured Jockeys Fund.

The pics – which (apparently) replicate traditional pointing scenes – were taken at Fern Farm in Adlestrop, which is the home of Claire Hart Equine, and at Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse.

Warmest Regards

Martin, Belinda, Harry, Freddie and all the team at Condicote Stables
