Dear Friends of The Kennington Bioscope & The Cinema Museum

On Wednesday the 20th December our main feature will be 'Miss Bluebeard' (1925), a comedy directed by Frank Tuttle, starring Bebe Daniel and based on the play Little Miss Bluebeard by Avery Hopwood.

'A story of love and nonsense! Colette Girard is a famous Parisian actress who is eager to escape to London for a visit with her friend. Larry Charters is a composer who is more interested in his music than the adoration of his female fans so he allows his philandering friend Bob Hawley to pretend to be him publicly. The trio happen to be on the same train and Bob, pretending to be Larry is eager to charm the lovely Colette. Things get really complicated when Bob and Colette leave the train, become stranded in a small town and then get accidentally married by the town mayor!' (Synopsis by Grapevine Video)

The film also stars Robert Frazer and Raymond Griffith.

We will be screening a 16mm print and will be introduced by Kevin Brownlow.

All films have live piano accompaniment and a programme of silent shorts precedes the main feature
.
