| werkzaamheden schoolomgeving |
Natuurlijk hebben we allemaal last van de werkzaamheden rond ons kindcentrum, maar wat wordt het al prachtig!
Wanneer het weer geen roet in het eten gooit, hopen we dat na de vakantie alles rond het parkeerterrein af zal zijn.
In januari kunnen we dan verder met de plannen aan de kant van het kleuterplein: de heuvelrug zal gedeeltelijk afgegraven worden en het hek zal richting waterkant gedeeltelijk verplaatst worden. We krijgen dan een iets groter plein en een mooi zicht op het park met de nieuwe brug!
Ook kunnen we dan eindelijk plannen maken voor de bouw van een nieuwe permanente schuur.

| verhuizing Hakkepuf |
Gisteravond is peuterspeelzaal 'Hakkepuf' verhuisd vanuit de Beatrixschool naar Kindcentrum Claus.
Hoewel alles nog niet op de juiste plaats staat, zijn de kinderen van 'Rupsje Nooitgenoeg' vanmorgen al heerlijk aan het spelen in hun nieuwe ruimte. Ouders en peuters: welkom!!

Inmiddels is Sinterklaas weer vertrokken richting Spanje. We hebben een fijn sinterklaasfeest gehad en de kinderen hebben allemaal een cadeautje gehad. Op 5 december ’17 zijn deze door Piet gebracht samen met een heleboel pepernoten.
Momenteel werken we met het thema kerst. Er worden mooie knutsels gemaakt en we vertellen waarom we kerst vieren. De geboorte van het kindje Jezus staat centraal. Jozef en Maria zijn naar Bethlehem gegaan. Hier hebben ze een plekje in de stal gevonden om te overnachten. Die nacht werd hun kindje geboren: Jezus, de Zoon van God.
Ons plein is opgevrolijkt met 2 appelbomen, 1 grote en 1 kleine. We hopen dat er aankomend zomer veel appels aan mogen groeien.

| Update Autumm-Winter 2017 English Native Speaker Miss Alice |
Hello again,
We had a great start to the new school year and my what does time fly by! After the summer the theme until the autumn break was school. The children learnt colours, numbers and classroom objects. How the children have grown and participated during those first few weeks at school, was fun for me to see. Last term, I introduced some new themes and songs. They were able to combine their learning with their experience of having visited the fire brigade station. Oh how much fun that was for them learning all about the fire truck and the firemen.
After a nice autumn break, we got stuck back in. Autumn is a lovely time of year and the children were able to review their colours, learn new words from the different themes e.g. seasons and the weather, telling that it’s cold or it’s windy and being squirrels counting their acorns. I am delighted to say that the children are very enthusiastic and are doing really well. I am always amazed at how they pick up on new words without me saying the Dutch equivalent, how they understand and know quite a lot of English words.
Well Saint Nicholas came and went. He put lots of sweets into their shoes and we had so much fun too. We too learnt how to throw ginger nuts like his helpers, who are very naughty and silly. Learning new words and playing lots of fun games. The older groups were able to do some nice new worksheets these last few weeks. It is lovely to see how the children are doing so well.
Now that Christmas is very close, the children are excited. We will learn all about the Nativity and sing Christmas songs, play games and generally have a good time in our circle / classroom time together to end of the year. Remember learning is fun and the amount of words they are learning is increasing each time. It is important to continue to stimulate your child(ren) by watching tv programmes, playing games and talking to them in English. I look forward to seeing them all again in the new year for lots more new games and activities.
Keep an eye out for in the next newsletter the winner and a small prize will be announced for the student out of group 4, who has shown a great effort especially in his / her speaking skills.
That’s leaves me to wish all my students, their parents and my lovely colleagues a very happy Christmas and a prosperous and blessed 2018.

En weer is er bijna een jaar voorbij!
Wat is de tijd hard gegaan en als je terugkijkt: wat is er veel gebeurd en veel werk verzet!
Tijd om even tot rust te komen, te reflecteren op de tijd die achter ons ligt en uitkijken naar de nieuwe kansen in het nieuwe jaar.
Kinderen en team van Kindcentrum Claus wensen u/jullie gezegende kerstdagen en een heel fijn nieuw jaar!
