Introducing Becki Bunger
I am Becki Bunger and I am the newest member of the Bridgnorth Youth and Schools Project. I moved up to Wolverhampton in September after I got married to Mark to start in my new role here. I love spending time outdoors, meeting new people, and catching up with friends over hot drinks and cake!
Since September I have been getting stuck into things, I have met countless people, young and slightly older and I’ve spent lots of time getting to know the project. My role consists of many things, I lead the Bridge on a Tuesday night for year 6-8 where we have 18-20 young people regularly attending. I am the Reflect co-ordinator which involves taking reflective resources into schools encouraging young people to think about faith. Another part of my role is to deliver lessons in schools, assemblies, and lunch time clubs. Our lunch time club at Oldbury Wells has been really well received and we are working on starting one up at Bridgnorth Endowed in the New Year. We also run Stir, a group for teenagers to explore their own spirituality.
Over the next term we have lots of exciting thing going on so please do pray for us. Specifically I would value prayers for a new Stir group that I’ll be setting up in the new year. Pray that God will guide us in who to invite and for open hearts and ears to the gospel. Also that we are able to build more meaningful relationships in the schools as we get to know more and more young people. Again please pray that there will be appropriate opportunity to share the gospel with these young people through fruitful relationship.
I have loved my first term here, it’s been amazing to get to know the town and the people who so faithfully serve young people here. I’ve loved getting to know the young people and particularly GSUS live has been highlight for me. I’m really looking forward to the New Year now that I have found my feet a little more and building up relationships and new ventures.
Becki.
