As we end our first semester I want to let everyone know how proud I am of our students and their accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. Please encourage your student to continue to work toward their academic goals as we move into the next semester after the winter break.
I would like to thank you for your support and partnership as your children continue their educational careers at Lutz Preparatory, we are honored to be your school of choice. On behalf of the faculty and staff at Lutz Preparatory, we wish you and your family a very happy and safe winter break. We look forward to seeing all of our students back at school on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 ready to finish the second half of the school year strong. Go Bolts!
Sincerely,

Bolts of Blue Campaign Wrap Up
We want to thank our Lutz Preparatory Community for their incredible support and donations during the 2017 Bolts of Blue Campaign, it was a huge success! The funds raised by the campaign will benefit not only our current students but the overall school for several years.
Lutz Preparatory is a Hillsborough County public charter school of choice and receives per student funding from the State of Florida. All of these funds go directly to the classroom and supporting the each student's educational needs. The Bolts of Blue Campaign allows us to add valuable additional programs that these funds do not cover. The generous giving by our families and sponsors allows us to have programs that go above the average programs that a traditional school provides.
Details from the campaign:
5% of the overall cost went into messaging the campaign, PayPal, etc.
15% went into student incentives to create excitement, (food, trinkets, water bottles etc. and other supplies to support BOB Campaign)
55% of the funds raised went to the school (technology, Leader in Me program, staff development, graduations, sports, security upgrades just to name a few)
25% went to PTA to host their program offerings
Lutz Preparatory Schools, Inc. annual budget and audit is posted yearly on our website for full details.
Thank you again for your continued support and partnership in your child's education.

Students will be able to demonstrate empathy and understanding of different cultures and countries.
Examples of Global Awareness:
respond to communities
extend beyond your neighborhood
respect, tolerance, and concern for others
collaboration and problem solving
attending to a task without external reminders
Reporting Absences: If your student will be absent for any reason, the preferred method of notification is to send an email to attendance@lutzprep.org (you may also cc your student's teacher). If needed, you may contact the attendance line at 428-7101 instead of sending an email - you do not need to do both methods.
