On Wednesday, January 17 from 12-2 PM Pacific (3-5 PM Eastern), the World Institute on Disability will be hosting a webinar looking at the connection between climate change and disability. As climate change continues, the disability community will be uniquely impacted by its many effects, from stronger storms to heat waves to displacement and migration. This online event will explore the many impacts of climate change on our community, with a special focus on the state of California.

Join WID staff members Alex Ghenis and Marsha Saxton, Vance Taylor from the Office of Access and Functional Needs in the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (AFN/OES), and Linda Helland from the Office of Health Equity in the California Department of Public Health (OHE/CDPH) as we look back on this year’s natural disasters and California’s efforts to protect lives and well-being.
