Serve: Caroling!
Who: Youth & friends & younger siblings with parents & older siblings & adults & neighbors.
When: THIS Friday, Dec 15, 6:00 - 8:00 pm
What: Singing Christmas songs for residents of nursing homes. We'll meet at the church, pray, form 3 groups (we'll keep you with your friends), travel to the homes, bring all sorts of joy with our smiles and singing, then come back to COTS for hot chocolate and cookies.
FAQ: Do I have to be able to sing? Nope! Sometimes we sounds awesome. Sometimes it's a little rough. Always the residents love it. Even if you just mouth the words and no sound comes out, this is worthwhile.
Why: I don't think I can overstate this - God's love will move through you to these residents with more depth than we'll realize. And chances are very good we'll see it happening. Every year this is the highlight of Advent and Christmas for me. Seriously.
What to Wear: Your Christmas stuff - antlers, sweaters, socks, hats, light-up necklaces - it all adds to the festive mood.
Where: Meet and pick up in the Great Hall lobby of the church.

This Taizé-style worship service is a time of remembrance and reflection. The Holiday Season isn't always joyful, especially for those who have experienced loss or are disconnected from others during the darkest time of year. We gather to be in God’s presence.
