Church-Wellesley Safe Walk Planning

For those who have not been following CWNA on Facebook, we have had a huge outpouring of support from volunteers, both those who live within our community and those whose lives have been touched by the spirit of The Village, for the idea of a safe walk program.

We still have many questions that need to be answered, before any program could be launched. We want to create something that is sustainable in the longer term, and that will take time and ongoing community efforts.

Want to help? You can do so in three ways:
  • Volunteer as an organizer - we need help immediately to research best practices, funding, and other community resources we should be connecting with
  • Volunteer once the program is launched - we will contact you in the new yea when we know more about the form this program may take
  • Watch out for one another - one thing that was clear is that there are many people who live, work, and play in our neighbourhood who are able to offer help to others. When you're out in the Village, be kind to each other. If you see someone who looks like they need help, and you’d be in a position to help, ask if they do.
