Happy New Year!

We have been having a lot of fun recently, starting with our fundraiser at Copperwing Distillery, then our Depot Lighting Event, and most recently at the Holiday Train which came through town in December.  In administrative news, please note that we are returning to calendar year membership dues cycle, so all memberships will come up for renewal as of January 1, 2018.  Dues received in November and December 2017 will count for all of 2018.  If you want to send your 2018 dues electronically, you can find membership information online at our website.  As always, if you are looking to get a little more involved please reach out!  We have many ideas and not enough hands.
Fall 2017 Issue of the Re-Echo is now available!

If you did not yet see it, be sure to check out our most recent issue of the Re-Echo which was sent out in late November and reaches back into our archives:

Spirits in St. Louis Park
Tuesday, October 10
Copperwing Distillery

We had a great time at our fundraiser thanks to our new friends at Copperwing Distillery.  They have a great space to gather and even better cocktails!  We shared the history of bars in St. Louis Park and how Prohibition impacted the city (and the secret bars where our residents still could find a drink).  Thanks to everyone who joined us!

Depot Holiday Lighting
Saturday December 2nd

Our third annual lighting ceremony of the Historic Depot was a great success!  We were fortunate to have the Ta-Ta string quartet on hand this year to play a mix of holiday music.  And we even had a full moon overhead to add to the festive lights!

Holiday Train
Sunday December 10th

We can't take any credit for this wonderful event, but as history buffs and admirers of all things related to trains, we loved seeing over 5,000 residents crowded into our original downtown at Walker and Lake streets cheering on the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train.  The event raised funds and awareness for STEP, which provides food and clothing to residents in need.
