A message from Larry Watts

BLACK SATURDAY...

I really wanted to do a great end of year newsletter, but I've been working around the clock (well late to bed up early) since September and it all feels like a blur now.
Pile on my son's wedding two days after Christmas (It was a wonderful event) and 6 weeks or more battling allergies, a cold and stubborn sinus infection and my normal bundle of energy and creativity is certainly lagging.

The most pressing concern is finishing the year in the black. At this time we still need $958.00 to get current on rent and utilities for our Greenville studio. January is coming right along and that means another $700 plus utilities

We certainly can use friends to come alongside and help.

I am super excited about 2018!

Next week (Lord willing) I will unveil the third worldview building media component so I hope you will take the time to open up another email newsletter!

I am currently reading this book in full for the first time. It is both eye opening and alarming!

I hope to read this book in the first quarter of 2018. From the Barca website we read:
According to Roxanne Stone, Barna’s Editor in Chief, “America has been wringing its hands over Millennials for a while now. We’ve called them narcissists. We’ve worried about their employment rates. We’ve wondered why they’re taking so long to get married. We’ve noticed the alarming rates at which they’re dropping out of church. In other words, talking about Millennials has become something of an American pastime. But there is a new generation coming into adulthood. The first wave of Gen Z is entering college this year. Who are they? Will they carry on the Millennial trends we’ve been studying for decades? How are they different? What is their relationship to faith, to parents, to institutions? How has culture and society shaped them?

Our focus from the beginning has been to intervene in the development of a childs' worldview so they do not fall prey to what the culture will do to shape (distort) their thinking. Tech Trackers, our most ambitious project is laser focused on that. The Story Guardian will present 36 key biblical stories that are faithful to the Biblical account but wrapped in a movie-like modern story. Our third media creation (spoiler alert) will present some of my most highly effective 5th grade Sunday School lessons put into television format. I have surveyed my class for years and they rate these as the most exciting and memorable each year.

Everything we do is designed to be put into the hands of adults who will then give these to children they come into contact with. They are disciple making tools!

I need 100 friends to come alongside me on a monthly basis of $40.00 to $50.00 a month to make these strategic resources a reality in 2018. With this support I can make sure we can release between four and six episodes in 2018. Every year since the beginning of the ministry I have had to spend much of my time working for others to make ends meet. I feel it is critical for 2018 to focus all my time on these programs.

Blessings!
