Pastor's Note
This will be a shortened newsletter due to the fact that I have been out of the office to celebrate the holidays with family. There is some news that I'd like to share with you all that I received today. Pastor Lyn's husband, Pastor Bill, passed away on Saturday morning. The services are still being decided on, but I know that Pastor Lyn would appreciate your prayers during this time. If you would like to send a card or note you can send those to:

In Memoriam...
Lorna Gayle Gotchall Tovrea, formerly of Goodland, and member of Goodland UMC, completed her life and faith journey at UAB hospital in Birmingham, Alabama on December 19th, 2017. There will be a service lead by Pastor Zach in Goodland on Thursday, January 4, 2018, 2:00 PM at Koons-Russell Funeral Home.

Year-End Information
As December is upon us, it’s time to be thinking about our year-end matters. In order to get credit for giving in 2017, we must receive your offering by December 31st, or if sending by mail, it must be postmarked by that date. Anything received after that will be considered part of your 2018 giving.

Office Closed
The office will be closed on Monday, January 1 in observance of the New Year's Day Holiday. We will be back open at 8am on January 2nd. Happy New Year!

Volunteers Needed
Over the coming weeks, the SPRC is asking for volunteers from the church to help out with routine cleaning and upkeep of our buildings. We hope to have the position of custodian filled in the near future, but in the meantime we must rely on volunteers to help us out. A sign up sheet is available on Sunday mornings in the narthex, or you can call the church during office hours to volunteer. Thank you for coming together and helping during this time! |
