Move along... "to social and systemic change!"

2017 has been a huge year for the Colorado Village Collaborative, and thanks to your help 2018 will be even bigger. At Colorado Village Collaborative, however, our goal is not to build a giant non-profit organization, but to work for a day when an organization like ours is no longer needed.

At CVC, we want more than charity, we want justice.

We want justice that flows down like waters to give life to a barren land.

We want a world where all people have access to safe, dignified housing in the shelter of community.

We want a world where human value is more important than property value.

We want a world where people are more valuable than profit.

We want to be a part of a neighborhood, a city, a state, a nation that understands that we are all in this together. That health and well-being are marks that each of us aspire to, not only the privileged elite. That a society that advances the lives of one percent of it's people is not an advanced society.

At CVC, we believe that another world is possible. A better world is possible. The kind of world that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called, "The Beloved Community," where "poverty, hunger and homelessness will not be tolerated because international standards of human decency will not allow it. Racism and all forms of discrimination, bigotry and prejudice will be replaced by an all-inclusive spirit of sisterhood and brotherhood. In the Beloved Community...love and trust will triumph over fear and hatred. Peace with justice will prevail over violence."

Friends, family, community members, we all know that it is about time that we Move Along... "to social and systemic change."
