AzCLT Member's Meeting

Saturday, January 6th
4 - 6pm; Phoenix Quaker Meeting, 1702 E Glendale Ave, Phx 85020

This meeting will offer a showing of the film Within Reach. The film documents one couple's pedal-powered journey across the United States in search of a new home in sustainable community.

Mandy and Ryan have given up their corporate jobs and their traditional houses to "bike-pack" thousands of miles around the USA, looking around as they look within.

Their journey and their film has answered the question that they and many others are asking: Is it possible for all of us to live in a sustainable way? After circling the country, and talking with over 20,000 people they have found that not only is it possible but its already underway...

AzCLT Member's Meeting

Saturday, February 3rd
4 - 6pm; Phoenix Quaker Meeting, 1702 E Glendale Ave, Phx 85020

This meeting will feature a talk and discussion with John Penry on the Co-op Model. The cooperative model is a way of creating economic democracy; and has a natural affinity with the community land trust model. Housing co-ops, agricultural marketing co-ops, and consumer grocery co-ops all could be developed on community land trust land.

John consults with co-ops around the country. He has recently been helpful in starting the Sun Produce Co-op here in the Phoenix area.

AzCLT Member's Meetings are free and open to the public
