Sterne Kessler Goldstein & Fox – 2018 Spring 1L Diversity Internship
Application Deadline: 5 pm TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 14

Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox, a full-service intellectual property law firm located in Washington, DC, has invited diverse first-year law students in the DC area to apply for an internship this spring. The firm is particularly interested in applicants with an advanced degree (masters or doctorate) in biochemistry, chemistry, computer engineering, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering. This program will allow two students to shadow attorneys and participate in client meetings and strategy sessions while receiving in-depth information on the firm's Biotechnology/Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical and Litigation Practice Groups.

The internship program will take place on the following dates: March 23, March 30, April 6 and April 13. The firm will work with each intern to accommodate class schedules. Students will not be expected to complete any assignments that will extend beyond their time in the office. The goal of this internship is to complement the students’ educational experience while providing exposure to a law firm setting and practice early on to help better prepare each student for the upcoming fall recruitment program.

This is a paid internship ($20/hour). If you are interested in participating, please email your resume, a copy of your transcripts (undergraduate and graduate/law school) and a writing sample to Jaya Saxena at diversity@law.gwu.edu by 5:00 pm Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

Ballard Spahr
1909 K Street, NW

Washington, D.C.

We would like to cordially invite you to send as many as five diverse first-year law students to participate in our 13th Annual Resume Writing and Interviewing Skills Workshop. The event is hosted by our Diverse Associates Affinity Group and will take place on Wednesday, February 28th.

Participating students will have the opportunity to meet with practicing legal professionals in one-on-one sessions designed to provide frank and informative feedback on the materials and skills necessary for landing a position in the legal field.

Due to the individualized nature of the workshop, space is limited. If you are interested in participating, please submit your name and resume to diversity@law.gwu.edu by Friday, February 16. This is first-come, first-serve and limited to five students.

After a presentation on resume writing and interviewing, students will participate in mock interviews with practicing attorneys and will receive individualized feedback.

Dinner will be served.
