The Holiday Season is often busy but winter is also the time for rest and renewal. One of my favorite ways to do this is to honor the transition of the returning of the light, or "Winter Solstice" that happens right before Christmas day.
This time of shorter days and colder nights is Mother’s Nature celebration of the returning of the light, Winter Solstice. This occurs on December 21, 2017 and is the end of a 6 month journey that Mother Earth takes announcing the arrival of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. It is a day that marks the return of the sun and of the longer days we experience in the summer Solstice that occurs in June.
