From all of us at The Oxford Foundation, we write to wish you and your loved ones, a very Happy Christmas, Season's Greetings, and a very happy, peaceful and healthy 2018.
I share by way of thanks to so many of you, a picture (below) from my investiture at Buckingham Palace on 10th November 2017. Thank you for your friendships, your kind words of support at moments of pain and suffering, and for being on the journey together.
Our world is going through tumultuous times, unleashing forces of hatred, division and violence - seeking to strip away the humanity of the other. It is precisely at this time, I am reminded of one of my teacher's maxims, 'the other is my brother.' We all belong to the same human family. Human suffering, whether it be through poverty, violence or spreading of hate towards others, diminishes our collective humanity.
We must strive to stand united for human dignity, rule of law, fairness, democracy and compassion for the disadvantaged in our communities, society and world. These values have served us well and will continue to do so for a long time to come.
With all good wishes,
Monawar
