Volunteers of the Year

We have so many volunteers to thank this year for their help!! Just picking one or two Volunteers of the Year was difficult for us.

Amy Hochberg has been monitoring in the Bear River Watershed with us since 2015. She monitors Right Hand Fork of the Logan River with her kids and assists with additional E. coli and harmful algae monitoring on local reservoirs.

Angie Olsen, who just started monitoring with us this past year on the Weber River and Steed Pond. She comes from no water quality background and has impressed us with her enthusiasm.

Additionally we recognize Doug Johnson who has been a critical part of our Ogden and Weber River monitoring!

Prepping for 2018 Monitoring

Last February we sent around a quick survey as an easy way for us to get in touch with all of our volunteers, gauge interest in participation and find out what equipment is needed to get started again in April.  It worked so well, we will be sending it around again soon via email, so keep an eye out!  It should only take a few minutes of your time.

Current volunteers are encouraged to attend a Tier 1 training as a refresher, schedule coming soon.  We have updated materials on our website and will plan a webinar to share updates on datasheets and any other monitoring changes.
