Adverse Childhood Experiences, ACEs, is a term that refers to determinants in youth that affect a person later in life. It's an exciting area of early childhood that's recently been gaining traction, and we are happy to be a part of growing awareness in this area.
This bulletin (click to read) outlines some key information in regards to ACES, and our involvement in educating how FRPs a play role in this area. Also attached is a letter (click to read) from the office of Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions, in regards to feedback on the "Consensus Statement: To Build Better Lives We Need to Build Better Brains."
We hope this exciting area continues to grow in awareness as its core to what we do, and look forward to further research in this area.
