Annual Meeting

PER THE PARISH BYLAWS, the Annual Meeting of the Parish will be held on Sunday, February 11.

Diocese of Newark 2018 Convention

January 26-27 (Fri-Sat)  Every year, Our Savior sends delegates to Convention to participate and vote on Diocesan mission and business issues.  This year’s delegates, in addition to Mother Searle, are: Paul Schumann, Don Roberts, Hank Allen and Susan Jacobson.  Please note that Our Saviour will elect new delegates for 2019 at our Febtuary 11 Annual Meeting and think about whether you would like to represent the parish at Diocesan Convention next year!

Workshops open to Parishoners:
Episcopal Vo-Tech
is a new initiative for the 2018 Convention. Parishioners involved with or interested in Building and Grounds (Parish Property and Maintenance), Youth Ministry and Sunday School, or Stewardship are invited to come to the special Workshops which will be held at the Convention location (Hilton Hotel, Parsippany) on Saturday with registration at 9:00 am, followed by a one-hour and 20-minute session.  Agendas for each group will vary, but participants will be able to network with peers in the Diocese, access information on Diocesan resources, share challenges and explore opportunities. Individuals are asked to come with questions and ideas and an interest in learning more.

Buildings & Grounds -- will meet with multiple members of the Ward J. Herbert Board (our own church has been a beneficiary of a Ward J. Herbert grant) & Jim Caputo, Diocesan Property and Risk Manager.

Youth Ministries -- will meet with The Rev. Sheelagh Clarke, Interim Coordinator of Youth Ministries & Mr. Chris Whitaker, Christ Church, Short Hills and member of the Youth Leadership Diocesan cohort.

Stewardship -- will meet with Pat Yankus & Paul Shackford, members of the Fund Development Council of the Diocese.

Since deputies are not allowed to attend the workshops, we are hoping to have a non-delegate presence of interested parishioners.  Please let Mother Searle (vicar@oursavioursecaucus.church) know if you would like to attend.  The church will cover the $25 cost of the workshops, continental breakfast and lunch.
