Public libraries are much-loved and much-used facilities. Across WA’s 231 public libraries, there are more than one million active library members who borrowed more than 16 million physical items and some 600,000 e-books and audiobooks in 2015 - 16. But there is a need for change! We are always looking to deliver a more efficient and flexible library service for the WA community.
We invite you to share your feedback on the WA Public Libraries Strategy as libraries move forward into the future.

Force of Nature by Jane Harper
Five women reluctantly pick up their backpacks and start walking along a muddy track. Only four come out the other side. The hike through the rugged Giralang Ranges is meant to take the office colleagues out of their air-conditioned comfort zone and teach resilience and team building. Far from encouraging teamwork, the women tell Agent Falk a tale of suspicion, violence and disintegrating trust. And as he delves into the disappearance, it seems some dangers may run far deeper than anyone knew.

All-time favourite book:
I have loads of favourites from Hans Christen Anderson’s Thumbelina to Karen Joy Fowler’s We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves. I love a huge range of non-fiction books about health, wellbeing, psychology etc. and adore everything I’ve read and re-read to my children. A classic fave of mine is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, it is so beautifully written and one of my favourite quotes is from this book, where the character Nick says, ‘I was within and without, simultaneously enchanted and exhausted by the inexplicable variety of life.’ Still gives me goose bumps!
