As of January 1, 2018, what is the new minimum wage in Colorado?

Business Plan 101

Thursday, January 11, 5:30 - 7 p.m.
Starting a business without first writing a business plan is like driving from Denver to New York without a GPS or even a map! You may get there, eventually -- but how much time and money will you waste and what important sites will you miss along the way? Don't get lost! Let the Jefferson County Business Resource Center help guide you by attending this FREE seminar where you will learn the essential elements of a business plan and how it can be used as a feasibility plan, loan proposal and operating guide for your new or existing business. Visit the website to register.

2018 Colorado Business Economic Outlook

The Leeds School of Business of the University of Colorado Boulder just released its annual economic forecast and outlook. The publication covers a wide range of economic and industry topics across the state, including employment, international trade and regional information. While Colorado's economy continues to outperform those of other states, the pace of growth generally slowed in 2016 in the Centennial State before accelerating again in the first half of 2017. Total personal income rose 3.9% in Q2 2017 year-over-year, per capita personal income increased by 2.2%, and the state's labor force increased by 3.7% year-over-year in September. Access the publication.

40 West ArtLine

We’ve launched a new project website with a new look where all things ArtLine will live. Check out the interactive site at 40WestArtLine.org for images of the iconic park art that will be installed in late spring and for info about the muralists and other artists who have been selected to place art along the 4-mile ArtLine route. Have you seen the green line? Volunteers and artists worked with the city to paint an ArtLine route pilot project around Mountair Park and we’d love your feedback on the look before installing the rest of the route in May. Please check out the route pilot project images and map (or, even better, go out and experience it in person if you haven’t already!), and then share your thoughts in the very short, 1-minute, 6-question survey here: 40WestArtLine.org/PilotProject.
