A Foundation for our Future

Quarterly Newsletter

In partnership with Mayor Darrell Steinberg's office, the Metro Chamber Foundation launched the Thousand Strong initiative in 2017. Thousand Strong is a community effort to strengthen Sacramento by preparing our youth - the future talent pool - for success in their careers through training and year-long paid internships. In the first year of the program, we have already seen tremendous success and great impact made on our students' futures.

Because of Thousand Strong, Sacramento is setting a new standard for how to grow a talented workforce.

Because of Thousand Strong, students are gaining amazing career experiences most high school students don’t have access to, but should.

Because of Thousand Strong, we are uplifting our neighborhoods and providing incredible opportunities to the future leaders of this city.

Sacramento, are you ready for Year Two? Let's change one thousand students' lives by putting them on their Path to Lead.

We will be featuring Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs, John Bissell, and Bernadette Austin as our program speakers. It's time to take it to the #NextLevel. Will you join us?

Inspire Giving

A Little is Enough, if Enough People Do It

Inspire Giving is proud to announce GRID Alternatives as our 2018 grant recipient. We will be working with GRID Alternatives to advance their training program by establishing job readiness workshop curriculum, expanding their employer network, and increasing trainee success in job placement with a broad range of employers.

Inspire Giving is built on the motto "A Little is Enough, if Enough People Do it," and more than ever, now is the time to get involved. When you donate to the Inspire Giving endowment, you become part of a network of peers who share a common passion: to make a positive social impact in the Sacramento region by joining other donors to celebrate philanthropy and together, make a larger financial impact than one individual could ever make on their own.

Mark your calendars for Big Day of Giving on May 3rd. Inspire Giving is excited to participate in this regional day of giving.
