Happy New Year!
Welcome back to school SVMS families! We hope that everyone had a restful and joyous holiday break! We have hit the ground running this first week of 2018 despite the frigid temperatures. Please make sure that your child comes to school with weather appropriate shoes, clothing and outerwear. We will be having recess indoors as long as the temps are below freezing, but on days that the temps warm up we will try to spend some time outside.

With the start of 2018, we want to welcome a new family to the SVMS community. It is always exciting to welcome a new friend in class and a new family to the community. Welcome to Zeb Parker in the Dragonfly class. Join us in welcoming this new family by introducing yourselves to anyone who doesn't look familiar to you. Warmest welcome Parker family!

Come learn how to support your child's reading adventures at home!

Ms. Kristy, our reading specialist, is hosting a reading Make and Take workshop for Parents. Activities will be presented that can be used at home, and parents will make materials to support the reading and language development of their child.

Activities will be available for all levels and there will be time to share ideas and chat with other parents.

Hope to see you there!

Come join us for these information sessions for parents whose children are ready for the next step in their Montessori education.

You will learn more about the importance of completing the 3 year cycle in preschool with the Kindergarten year, what makes our Lower Elementary program so unique and how our Upper Elementary program prepares your buddying preteen for the rigors of Middle School and High School.

There will also be time for you to be an observer in the Elementary classrooms during the ever important work cycle, so that you can see first-hand how Montessori students learn about and experience their world.

Hope to see you there!
Annual Fund
100% PARTICIPATION

Now that we are passed the craziness of the holidays, it is time to wrap up our Annual Fund Drive for the 2017-2018 school year. There is still time for you to participate before January 31, 2018. Let's keep the momentum up and get to 100% participation by the end of January!

Remember, our focus is not how much you give, but that you give something.

Please consider what you can contribute to this valuable fund that supports all that we do here at SVMS. You may also choose to make your gift online at https://www.razoo.com/story/Kwe3sf. Feel free to share the link with your family and friends. Thank you so very much!

Overall we are at 32% parent participation.  Thank you!!
