PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

 

January is a busy month with the closing of the 1st semester of the school year.  The Academic Boosters is sponsoring Exam Review Review Sessions on Sunday, January 21st and Monday, January 22nd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the High School.  This is a great opportunity for students to collaborate with teachers in each of their subject areas and receive extra guidance for their examinations.  

Exams will take place the week of January 22nd according to the schedule below. Students are required to attend each exam session.  There will be no lunch service this week.


Monday, January 22

1st Hour Exam   8:00 - 10:00 a.m.

7th Hour Exam  1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
 

Tuesday, January 23

2nd Hour Exam   8:00 - 10:00 a.m.

6th Hour Exam  1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

 

Wednesday, January 24

4th Hour Exam   8:00 - 10:00 a.m.

5th Hour Exam  1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

 

Thursday, January 25

3rd Hour Exam   8:00 - 10:00 a.m.

Make-up Exams  1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

 

Friday, January 26

No School for Students

Teacher Records Day


Skyward Student and Family Access Gradebook will be closed down from Monday, January 22nd  through Friday, February 2nd..

Report Cards will be available on Skyward on Friday, February 2nd. 


INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE
 

If you would like to learn more about our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP), we are holding another "What is IB?" session on Thursday, January 11 at 7:00 P.M. in the High School Learning Commons. This presentation is intended for students and families who are beginning their research. Please know, this is a repeat of the session we held in November.
 
If you did not already attend our session, it is a great opportunity for you and your student to learn about the IB Programme. Our presentation aims to provide general information about IB including the mission, philosophy, and intended outcomes of the IB Programme. The Learner Profile is also explored to help guide students and their families in their decision.

STAGE BOOSTERS

The East Grand Rapids Drama Department proudly presents our intrepid improv squad, The B and Ps!  Please join us at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th and 20th in the Little Auditorium for hilarious off the cuff humor.  You'll be rolling in the aisles from the antics of our 18 member team as they play short form improv games such as Foreign Film, Dr. Know-it-all, and Get To The Point Theatre.  What does 'B and P' stand for?  You'll have to see the show to find out!  Tickets are available at the door for $6.
