Team Spotlight: Saddlebrook at Teel

Helpers of all ages!
Saddlebrook at Teel in West Frisco is a small community of 104 homes.  As a small, boutique like community we have had a walk, a bounce house, treats for Back to School, and Halloween safety glow sticks to kids, and a pumpkin race.  We decided to Adopt a Street to get neighbors together and to help pick up trash in our area.  There's more than we thought - a great activity for all ages!

We have a West side and an East Side to our neighborhood.  We had 2 families that have never met before meet at 9am for the trash pick up.  Both of these families are retired with grandchildren.  One lives on the East side, and one lives on the West side less than 100 yards away...Well, they met at Adopt a Street, exchanged phone numbers and addresses, and then they made fast friends!  Adopt-A-Street brought to families together.  It's wonderful to see friendships forming!

We look forward to 2018 and helping keep Frisco clean.

You may have noticed when you pickup your supply bags that City of Frisco Environmental Services has a drop off for packaging styrofoam and for clean styrofoam food containers. We've added this program to help divert waste from polluting our environment. Help us get the word out!
