Flamenco New Year Party at Escuela de Baile Friday the 12th January 2018

Guitar, Dance, Singing and Cajon :  This is going to be a night to remember, come and join in with some of the best flamenco musicians, bring your flamenco shoes, guitar or just come and have fun
£5 entry and bring a bottle or something to eat

CANTE, PALMAS, CAJON WORKSHOP  28th January
2-5.00pm
 
3 hours of fantastic workshop featuring brilliant teachers:
 
Jasmine Villalobos: Cante, Palmas
Demi Garcia Sabat: Cajon, Palmas
 
We will be concentrating on how to follow Cajon and Palmas on top of the Cante por Tangos and Bulerias.
You will experience different Tango styles- Tangos de Grana, Malaga, Triana....
Also different Buleria styles- Bulerias de Jerez, al golpe....
 
This workshop is open to anyone Singers, Dancers, Percussionists....etc All levels welcome!
It will be very interesting to work in depth with cante and percussion and see how they blend together.
 
Bring your Hands, Voice and Cajon (if you have one). I will have 4 cajons available to borrow on the day. Please let us know if you need one.

NEW AT ESCUELA DE BAILE

Happy New Year to everyone:  We are now opened again for our new term..
New Beginners welcome to join:  Wednesday 6.15-7.15 and Saturday mornings 9.30am-11.00am
We will be starting new dancers in many classes so this is a great time to start with classes from beginners to professional levels.
We also are taking in children into our Saturday school for flamenco and ballet.

Lola Rueda Flamenco Show: Pena Flamenco de Londres - 14th January

Catch Lola Rueda, one of the most popular performers and singers on the London Flamenco scene, at the Pena Flamenca de Londres on Sunday 14th January.
Lola hails from Girona and has danced and sung her way all over Europe in her varied career, which takes in Latin music and well as flamenco.  Her new CD, 'cuba London Lola' has just been released and she will sample some of her exciting new music in her special show for the Pena Flamenco de Londres.  What a great way to warm up a dark and cold January evening;
