Welcome, 2018! We're excited to see what the New Year brings to our friends and family. Around here, we've been looking ahead into the new year, getting organized and setting goals.  (Just don't call them "resolutions".  We hate that.)  Here's a little about what we've been up to and where we're going.
Visit Us!
Here's one thing that we're SUPER EXCITED about for the New Year. Are you the type of person who likes to see products in real life; kick the tires, touch and feel and see for yourself? Would you like to meet us in person? Well, you're in luck!  Coming in February, you can meet the people behind Make it Mid-Century and see our products for yourself at the 20th Century Cincinnati show. We're looking forward to our first time at the show which is apparently a Big Deal (with capital letters and everything) and draws a crowd of vendors from all over the greater mid-west.  We can't wait to meet you at booth A-22!

More Lustron

We've already talked a little about Lustron over on the blog back when we visited the Ohio History Museum but there was much more to the story that we couldn't cover.  In fact, there was SO much to cover, that we had to separate it into two blog posts.

You may be familiar with the story of the miracle house that wasn't, but this is a deep dive into the full story of The Lustron Dream: Housing and the Machine Age 1947-1951.

Mid-Century Realtor Interviews
We've continued a popular post topic for our blog, Interview with a Mid-Century Realtor.  Last month we interviewed Realtors from Missouri and Illinois, and last month we brought you Idaho and Florida.  Our goal is to speak to Realtors from all 50 states.  We have a number of interviews in our pipeline, so keep watching the blog.

T. J. Pierce
Boise, Idaho

T.J. has built a very successful business specializing in mid-century realty and is a frequent contributor to social media. Read more about T.J.'s approach to mid-century realty here.

Martie Liberman
Sarasota, Florida

What is mid-century realty like along the west coast of Florida? Read about Martie's take here.

Did you know that we have a Facebook group where you can share your mid-century renovation stories, ask how-to questions and ogle other member's projects?  We're new and fledgling, but we'd love for you to join in and show us what you're up to including the good, the bad AND the ugly (because they are all great learning experiences.)
