CHANGES TO KIDSPORT
Eligible Funding
On 1 January 2018, the total funding available per KidSport child in a calendar year will decrease to $150.

There is no change to who is eligible for KidSport. All Western Australian children aged 5 to 18 with a valid Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card are eligible for KidSport.

90 days to Validate KidSport Voucher Code
From 1 January 2018, all voucher codes will have a 90-day expiry.
What this means, is that from the date you receive your approval email you will have 90 days to provide your code to the club.
If for some reason you are unable to provide your club the code within the 90 days, don’t worry, you can simply reapply online (if in the appropriate calendar year).

We recommend asking your club if they meet the new criteria before submitting a KidSport application.
More information on these changes can be found on the Sport and Recreation (WA) website

We recommend Clubs reviewing the Kidsport Club's Guide for information on 2018 changes.

New resources on keeping and accessing documents, records and registers
This new fact sheet for Western Australia addresses particular requirements about documents and records of incorporated associations.

Questions:
1. Can I inspect certain records and documents of the association, and get copies of these documents, including the association's rules, the members register and the details of office holders?
2. Can I call a general meeting (if a minimum number of other members agree)?
3. Can I appeal against suspension or expulsion from the association?
See what your rights are as a member of an Incorporated Association here.

Thank you to Dr Carolyn Harris Johnson B.App.Sc.(Social Work);MA;PhD. for the Dispute Procedure flowchart which interprets the Consumer Protections New Model Rules dispute procedure.
