Tastes of Tampa Bay Lunch Catering
Deadline to place January lunch menus order is midnight on Monday, January 8, 2018.  All orders must be placed via http://www.orgsonline.com/.

Middle School Journalism Publication
As part of their journalism class our middle school students publish a monthly newspaper, the Bolt Times.  Click HERE to read the latest publication. 

Camp Invention Summer Camp at Lutz Preparatory:  Alumni & Early Bird Discounts

Spring Sports Update & Tryouts
You must complete the (1) tryout registration, (2) sport liability waiver, and (3) turn in your HCPS Sports Physical (must be completed by a doctor or walk in clinic) by Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in order for your student to participate in tryouts If these three (3) items are not complete by the deadline your student will not be able to attend tryouts.  

Boys Flag Football Tryouts
Deadline to Register for Tryouts:  Wednesday, January 10th at 9:00 AM
All 3 requirements must be completed in order to tryout:

  1. Click HERE to Register for Tryouts
  2. Click HERE to complete Sport Liability Waiver  (if you already have this on file for 17-18 you do not need to complete again)
  3. Click HERE to print a copy of Sports Physical that must be completed by a doctor or walk in clinic (if you already have this on file for 17-18 you do not need to complete again)
Tryouts:  Thursday and Friday, January 11th and 12th, from after school until 5 PM.
  • Please bring appropriate clothing and footwear (cleats not required) to change into for tryouts.
  • After dismissal students will be led into the gym (if necessary) where the coaches and Coach Mollick will be waiting.  They will then change out and participate in tryouts.
  • Pickup will take place at the back of the school by the picnic tables after tryouts.  If you are more than 10 minutes late your student will be escorted to the Pre-Prep building for aftercare where parents will be responsible for any charges incurred.
  • If your student makes the team a $140 participation fee must be paid online at the school store.

K-8 Enrollment for the 2018-19 School Year
  • 2018-19 Intent to Return online forms for our current K-7th grade families will be emailed to all families the week we return from winter break and will be due by February 1, 2018.
  • The K-8 Enrollment Lottery for the general public will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM.  Currently enrolled K-8 charter students DO NOT need to apply for the lottery.
  • If there is a sibling of a current K-8 student who is NOT ENROLLED at Lutz Preparatory School K-8 and you would like to enroll them in 2018-19 they must go through the lottery process outlined on the Admission tab of www.lutzprep.org.  
Important Information for Current K-8 Out of County Residents
Updated 2018-19 procedures for Out of County Residents to enter Hillsborough County Schools:
  • Out of County students returning to their current charter school for the 2018-19 school year NO LONGER NEED TO COMPLETE the form to enter Hillsborough County Schools each school year No forms need to be turned into our LP registrar for returning students for 18-19.  Please contact our registrar at admissions@lutzprep.org with any questions.
  • New or transfer students will still need to complete the form the first year they enter a charter school.
  • Other local counties are in the process of deciding if residents need to apply to exit their home county, more details coming out from each county in the next few months regarding 2018-19.  Please contact your county of residence Choice Office with any questions regarding any new procedures they are requiring.

Yearbook Sales
2017-2018 Yearbook sales have started and will be accepted through Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Order forms and envelopes were sent home with all students to purchase by cash, check, or money order payable to: Lutz Prep PTA.  If you need additional copies please stop by the front office.

  • Get link directly to the Interstate Studio website to place an online order.
  • Help out the Yearbook Committee by uploading classroom/field trip/school events that will assist in creating a memorable yearbook for our school.

Bricks 4 Kidz is back with an ALL NEW after school class Spring Class at Lutz Prep! We are going to show you a whole new way to create with LEGO® bricks! From STAR WARS Tie Fighters to Ninjago Spinjitzu, our motorized models bring LEGO® bricks to life!  But the fun doesn’t stop there…how about building 3-D LEGO® mosaic art of Batman’s mask, a Minecraft creeper, spinning tops that battle in their own arena, optical illusions and even brain-teasers and building challenges ALL with LEGO® bricks?!
