Gifts for Our Neighbors, Far and Near
We are collecting clothes for a strategic ministry in Mongolia and food items for our Food Bank for local families in need. The collection bins are located in the Chapel parking lot and open for contributions on Sunday mornings and during office hours (8am–5pm M–F). Donations will be collected through January 7.

God at Work in Christmas BLVD and The Walk

Christmas BLVD and The Walk Through Bethlehem are wonderful gifts that our church gives to our community. It was exciting to see 40% more people come this year! We had over 21,000 people come to Christmas BLVD and 9,194 join us in The Walk.

Send me your story about this exciting ministry. How did God work through the people you brought or what you experienced? It would be so good to hear from you; email david.fletcher@evfreefullerton.com.

More exciting than the numbers are the stories … here are a few that we have so far … but we need your story too!
  • We enjoyed Christmas BLVD and The Walk Through Bethlehem so much. We went on Thursday to see Bethlehem and came back the last night … carolers in the coffee shop and the sing-a-long in the big auditorium. We told many of our friends and they made sure to visit too.
  • Beyond anything else what speaks to me about the heart and health of the church is that there are so many families with special needs and adopted kids. It is really commendable. My legs are a bit sore from all the squats to lift kids today but my heart is full from helping Santa spread a bit of joy.
  • I went to your Christmas BLVD on Friday night and went through the Bethlehem Walk and when I got to the end, I felt so uplifted. Thank you for providing that for me at this crazy, erratic time of the year. It was just what I needed …

OnRamp

Starting Sunday, January 7

Are you new to EvFree and looking for a way to get connected? Do you want to learn a bit more about EvFree before committing to be “all in”? Have you been here longer, attending the worship service, but still want to know more or find a way to connect? OnRamp may be for you! OnRamp is a six-session-long class, being offered on an ongoing, revolving basis to allow you to jump in at any point and is designed to answer the “Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How” of EvFree:
  • Who is here for me at EvFree?
  • What does EvFree believe?
  • When do things happen here?
  • Where can I find things here?
  • Why does all of this matter to me?
  • How can I participate?
These six sessions will also introduce you to people, ministries and opportunities to connect here at EvFree. The class will take place at 11:30am in C212, above The Well, and the first six-week cycle will begin this Sunday, January 7.

If you have questions about OnRamp, would like more information, or to confirm your attendance, email John Schaefer here or Becca Stavert here.

New Closer Walk Series

Closer Walk starts off 2018 with a new eight-part series called Famous Last Words. Last words are often worthy of attention, especially off the lips of characters in Scripture. They can convey perspective on life and reveal what is truly important. They may sum up what a lifetime has taught. Some are inspiring, others are tragic, but all recorded in Scripture are valuable.

This new series begins January 10 and continues until March 14, every Wednesday morning from 10:00–11:15am in north campus room 190. Consider yourself invited! Our teacher line-up includes: Greg Rhodes, John Coulombe, Paul Sailhamer, Dan Crane, Bart Barrett, John Tebay Sr., Scott Belon, Kody Stavert, Josh Fasold and Bambi Encarnacion. We'll save the last words for you!

Quarterly Grandparenting Huddle

Your Grands-Matter Leadership Team invites you to our Quarterly Grandparenting Huddle on Thursday, January 18 at 7:00am in NC190. A healthy formula for approaching our task is a heart for God, a light-hearted/joyful attitude toward life with a good dose of laughter mixed in. So Grandparents, consider this your invitation to join us for an evening of humor and laughter as master comedian Ken Davis helps us approach our God-given task of grandparenting.

If you missed the Legacy Coalition Grandparenting Summit in Dallas last November, we’ll be showing a video of Ken Davis’ message. If you attended, you’ll want to see it again! Hope you can come as we also gather around to learn how to bring laughter and joy into the challenges of loving and leaving a legacy for both our grown children and our grands. Refreshments will be served. Invite a friend or two!
