I would like to use the occasion of the first Structurae newsletter of 2018 to wish you a Happy New Year and all the best, many successes and good health for the year to come. 2017 was the year of completion of some really exceptional structures but also of some very important changes and improvements to Structurae. Both of which I will recap in this newsletter.

Fourth International Conference on Structural Engineering Education Without Borders

Call for Abstracts Extended until 15 January 20108!

Recap: Structurae in 2017

Two major milestones were achieved last year. Since July, "My Structurae" allows you to register for a personal account in order to access additional features and functions on the site such as

And more features are slated to come in 2018!

Structurae's literature repository was created in September, and in November the literature section became fully operational. You can now search or browse the full catalog of publications e.g. using the author index or the periodical listing.

Evidently, the size of the Structurae database increased throughout 2017 as well:

VII Congreso de ACHE
The Sixth International Congress on Construction History will be held from 9-13 July 2018 in Brussels, Belgium, and promises to be another highlight for the construction history community! More information available at 6icch.org

"Creativity in Structural Design" - Annual Symposium of the IASS

To be held 16-20 July 2018 at the MIT in Boston, Massachusetts. The Call for Abstracts runs until 15 Januar 2018!
