Open Space Preservation Efforts by the NFA

January 3, 2018 - HAPPY NEW YEAR. For a limited time 8 original oil and watercolor paintings, by local artist Ruth Newquist, will be available for purchase. Each painting is beautifully framed. Prices start at $450, Paintings are on display at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library, 25 Main street, Newtown,until January 15th. Mission

The NFA is the oldest private land trust organization in CT. We are dedicated to preserving forests, agricultural lands, nature preserves, watersheds and other open space lands in Newtown, Connecticut for the ongoing benefit of the plant, animals and citizens of our town. The NFA is Newtown largest private land owner and now owns and protects over 1,300 acres.

Because the NFA is a Private Land Trust, it is independent from Town government. As a result, it reliesprimarily on the private giving of our donors and members.
