SLOCOG Board Appoints 2018 Executive Committee and Interagency Assignments

 
Atascadero Mayor Tom O’Malley Appointed SLOCOG Board President and SLO City Council Member Dan Rivoire Appointed Vice President
 
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – January 3, 2018 –  Today the San Luis Obispo Council of Governments (SLOCOG) appointed its 2018 Executive Committee and assigned interagency representatives. Appointed to lead the SLOCOG board was Mayor of Atascadero Tom O’Malley. Mayor O’Malley will act as the SLOCOG President through 2018. As such, he will be responsible for setting SLOCOG board agendas, chairing SLOCOG board and executive committee meetings, and directing agency staff in consultation with SLOCOG’s executive director. Also appointed today was SLO City Council Member Dan Rivoire, who will serve as SLOCOG Vice President through 2018. Outgoing President Lynn Compton, SLO County District 4 Supervisor, will remain on the executive committee in the Past-President position. 

As customary, additional interagency assignments were made at today’s meeting. Those include:

California Association of Councils of Governments (CALCOG)

  • Alternates: Tom O’Malley, Atascadero and Dan Rivoire, San Luis Obispo
National Association of Regional Councils (NARC)
  • Representative: Fred Strong, Paso Robles

Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo Rail Corridor Agency (LOSSAN)
  • Representative: Fred Strong, Paso Robles
  • Alternate: John Shoals, Grover Beach
Coast Rail Coordinating Council  (CRCC)
  • Representative: John Shoals, Grover Beach 
  • Alternate: Fred Strong, Paso Robles
Consolidated Transportation Services Agency (CTSA) Advisory Committee
