Rolling Forward Michigan Bicycle Conference

GGRBC is pleased to be a partner organization for the Rolling Forward: Michigan Bicycle Conference, coming to Grand Rapids' GVSU Eberhard Center June 1-2, 2018. Rolling Forward is a forum to present ideas to build momentum and support for policies that make bicycling safer and more accessible. It is presented in partnership with the City of Grand Rapids, The League of Michigan Bicyclists, the Michigan Department of TransportationMichigan State University, and the Office of Highway Safety Planning.

We need your help! The conference planning committee is currently seeking ideas for conference topics and is accepting proposals now through Friday, January 12, 2018. Even if you are not a presenter, they want to hear from you on what topics/presenters you want to see at the conference.

To submit a proposal, download the Topic Submission form. Send completed Submission Forms to the planning committee by email rollingforward@LMB.org or mail: P.O Box 30634, Lansing, MI 48909, by Friday, January 12, 2018.

Here's to GGRBC's Hardworking Board Members

We want to thank our outgoing board members for their years of dutiful service to the cycling community. Metro GR has more bike lanes and a stronger bicycle culture thanks to their volunteering time and talent to the cause. They will be missed on the board, but we know they will continue to contribute to our vibrant community. We are grateful for their time and effort!

Outgoing Board Members:
Kim Thomas
Jeff Festian
Nate Phelps
Janet Carbonneau-Jones

We are thrilled to introduce a new group of supporters that we are sure will make some great things happen for bike culture in Greater GR in 2018! Though new to the GGRBC board, they are not new to the cycling community. Our new board members are active bicycle advocates in the areas of education to fundraising in organizations from the Rapid Wheelman to Boston Square Community Bikes.

Incoming Board Members:
Emily Miner
Tad Smedes
Tom Bulten
Mark Schlutt
Rhonda Solomon
