Pro-Am Brings the Thunder for Alzheimer Awareness Month!

PRO-AM & MARKHAM THUNDER ANNOUNCEMENT

Today in NHL history: Jan. 5, 1979 – Wayne Gretzky and Gordie Howe became linemates on a professional team for the first time. Wayne lined up at centre between Gordie and his son Mark Howe on the WHA All-Star Team against the touring Moscow Dynamo. Gretzky was 16, Gordie was 48.

January is Alzheimer's Awareness Month. To honour this occasion and in anticipation of the 2018 Pro-Am, we've partnered with the CWHL for a special fundraising game featuring the Markham Thunder!

Come watch The Thunder take on China's Kunlun RedStars on Jan. 20, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at the Thornhill Community Centre arena (click here for map). The evening will feature an auction for a signed Darryl Sittler jersey and fun, on-site contests for your chance to win even more great prizes - all in support of Baycrest Health Sciences.

Tickets are just $15 to watch some of the CWHL's best pros, many of whom will also be playing in the 2018 Pro-Am!
