Pastor's Note

Happy New Year!

It's hard to believe that Nicole and I have been in Goodland for 6 months now. The time is certainly flying. As when begins life in a new community, you mark milestones along the way. We have had many holiday firsts in our new home, started to figure out how to decorate the house, and getting close to figuring out where things are after the move.

January marks a time in our congregation where we will start thinking strategically about the who, what, why, and hows of our ministry. On January 28th, we will be having a Visioning Retreat after worship in Fellowship Hall. Details can be found below. However, I hope each and everyone of you will prayerfully consider attending. We need your voice and ideas to make our ministry more successful and more far reaching.

Each week leading up to the retreat, we will be posing a question for you to start thinking about to help get the process started. There will be boards up on Sunday mornings for you to share your thoughts. These can be shared anonymously at this point. They are intended to get your brains going and for leadership to get a sense of where people are in their ideas about our ministry at this point.

This weeks question is: What do I need from a church?

Grace and Peace,
Pastor Zach
Taking Down the Greens

Following worship this Sunday (Jan 7th) we will take down the Christmas decorations and take them back to storage for another year. Please plan to stick around for awhile and help us prepare for the next season in the church. The more the merrier!
