A Note from the Primary Head
On the 12th of January, in his weekly email, our Head of School, Mr Vesseau wrote about happiness  - our own and that of others - and how we can make both happen every day through kindness.

Along with knowledge and know-how, we also educate our students in fundamental life skills such as collaboration, delegation and how to build consensus through the different projects we are involved in. Thanks to all of you for your contribution to and participation in our Eco-School projects (recycling, solidarity, support) helping us and your children to build a kinder future.

English/ French Fridays

In order for children in the French-English pathway to have an equal number of French and English Fridays during the school year, we do not follow the secondary school’s week A and week B schedule, as published on the TES calendar. Instead we follow the attached document based on the number of Fridays in the year. Friday A is when classes ending in 1 have French and classes ending in 2 have English. This coming Friday is a Friday A.

Parent Volunteers wanted

Are you bilingual (Chinese/English)? Are you interested in helping the students of the rural areas improve their English? Are you available for 1 hour each week?

TES parents volunteer as English teachers in schools - in Beitou and in Nantou. The schools are looking for more volunteers to join, please see this attached note from Annie Chou for more information.

Message from the secondary assistant head
This week, the focus is on our exam classes - especially the Terminale class. They, along with their 1ère and 3ème classmates, are sitting their mock exams. Traditionally, it’s a chance for them to test themselves in examlike conditions and for teachers to get a clear idea of how their students will fare for the real thing.

It’s also time for the Terminale students to apply for third level courses using the Parcoursup platform. The Tle teaching team, coordinated by the Tle Homeroom teacher, Mr Rey will accompany the students closely during the entire application process. We will of course keep you informed of the results.
