Just Two Weeks Away!

Two weeks from today our family will be living in Argentina! Hard to believe! Our journey will start on January 31, when we will stay overnight at the Vancouver, BC airport. Our flight leaves at 8:45 AM from on Feb 1st. We will then fly to LAX for a short layover. From there, we have a long 10 hour flight that will take us to Santiago, Chile. After that, there will be one more short leg to Cordoba, Argentina. All of our 30ish bags will be packed with all of our belongings as we head out for the journey we started about one year ago.

We are thankful to be taking Bri Pimentel with us as well. Bri goes to Emmanuel Baptist Church with us and is coming for several months to help us with the kids, help us to translate (she is fluent in Spanish), help around the house, cook, and more. We are so thankful that she will be coming with us.

We are so excited to go and sad to leave! What a mix of emotions we have been experiencing these last few months!

Update On Our Visas

During the first week of January, we took our entire family to Los Angeles for our visa trip. We enjoyed some time with family and friends. On Monday Jan 8th, we walked in the Argentina consulate hoping that we would walk out with our visas approved. Needless to say, there was one document that was missing that we were unaware of, and we were not able to get our visas. It was very discouraging to say the least, but we rest in the fact that God is sovereign. This will not change our plans of flying there, but we will need to get our visas right away when we are in Argentina.

Praise God that He has brought us to this point through the partnership of so many in finances and prayer support!
Please pray for safe and peaceful travels.
Please pray for our first couple of days there as we adjust to a new life in a new country.
Pray that we will be able to find a place to live quickly, be able to get the kids into a school and get a car.
